On March 20th we went to St. Joseph D. Grant Park and did a 10 mile hike. We were quite prepared, as we had taken a 10 mile hike before, and were excited. During that one hike, we hiked through valleys, mountaintops, and a forest. It was fun and exciting, everything pretty much went well. One thing which i feel could change is the fact that the directions to the meeting place were quite confusing. It took us about 20 minutes to find it, and by then, most of the troop had already left. This meant we were in 2 groups. We caught up at our halfway point, where we stopped to take a break, but as we reached, the first group was leaving, which meant that we were again behind. Another thing is that I feel that I personally was a bit unprepared. The weather forecast said it would be a sunny day, but as we reached the valley, it became extremely cold and windy. One good part of the trail itself was that it was steep and pretty brutal for the first 3 miles, and just as we were tiring out, it became flatter. Overall, it was a nice hike and I had fun.
