Biking Outing (Nov. 14)

By Tanvi and Anya

The troop went on a biking outing to the Alameda Creek Trail on November l4, 2020. We biked 10 miles in total and had fun. Luckily, the entire trail was relatively flat, which ended up great for beginner bikers. Every once in a while there was a part where we would go down and then up, but it never lasted long enough for us to get tired by it. From what we could see all of us were able to handle the trail quite easily, with just a little difficulty in staying in a single file line. We had no falls, so that was good, and we took a little snack break in between to refresh and recharge. The scenery was very pretty, and we biked past the river. There were a couple of things we could have done better, such as making sure we had at least one female volunteer before-hand. Luckily, a mom was able to come, and we carried on with the outing. The communication also could have been a bit better, and we’ll be sure to fix these things on our next outing. Overall, we think the trail was quite nice and the outing went nice and smooth. While we did have some ups and downs, throughout the planning of this outing, we believe that it paid off in the end! We all had a great time and hope to have more biking outings in the future.
