On November 1st, our troop went on a Night Hike at Mission Peak. We were excited to hike under the stars and enjoy the cool night air. Everyone showed up with flashlights, jackets, and backpacks. At first, we thought it would be a fun and easy adventure. We were ready to explore!
But once we started climbing, we realized Mission Peak was much steeper and harder than we expected. Many of us had to stop and rest along the way. Some people ran out of water or needed help finding the trail. Even though it was difficult, we stuck together. We shared snacks, gave each other encouragement, and made sure everyone kept going.
As it got darker and darker, we pulled out our flashlights, and were ready to navigate. Steadily, we all encountered the hardest part of the night, the steep climb to the peak. Even when hiking uphill in the dark became more challenging, each of us was trying our best to get to the top. Everyone encouraged each other to keep going, and it went by a little faster.

When we finally reached the top, the view was amazing. We could see the whole city lit up below us, and the sky was full of stars. We sat together on the boulders, proud of what we had done. We posed next to the pole as a group, which led to a memorable photo. Overall, the Night Hike taught us that teamwork, determination, and a positive attitude can help you get through even the hardest challenges. It was a night we would never forget!
