On September 25, 2026, our troop headed out for a weekend filled with camping, activities, competitions, and plenty of memories. Scouts from different troops came together, and everyone from our troop was excited to see what the Fall Camporee had planned for us.

Before leaving, we met at Mission San José Community Park for a gear check. We checked the patrol boxes, tents, cooking equipment, stoves, and other supplies to make sure we had everything we needed. After organizing the gear, we loaded everything into the cars and got ready to leave for the campsite.

When we arrived at the Camporee, we unloaded our gear and brought everything to our campsite. Scouts worked together to set up tents, organize the patrol boxes, and prepare the cooking area. Everyone had different responsibilities, and working together helped us get everything set up. After eating dinner, we settled in for the night and got ready for the activities the next day.

We woke up early the next morning to a breakfast of pancakes and bagels. The cooks also packed lunches for their patrols before we headed to the flag ceremony.

After the flag ceremony, the day was filled with activities and competitions. Scouts participated in different Camporee challenges and worked together with their patrols in events like fire building, the Magic Carpet Challenge, and other events involving cooperation and teamwork. We had a great time encouraging each other and supporting our patrols throughout the activities.

We also had fun doing archery and rifle shooting at the range. Many scouts did well, getting bullseyes in archery and making close shots in rifle shooting. Along with the competitions, cooking was also an important part of the Camporee. Scouts worked together to prepare meals, clean up after cooking, and make sure everyone had food. We also participated in the Dessert Challenge, entering a Spider-Man-themed chocolate cake and earning extra points for troop spirit.

We had dinner at our campsite and enjoyed desserts made by the cooks, such as s’mores, brownies, chocolate cake, and ice cream, before heading to the campfire and skit night. The campfire was extremely fun, and we shared many laughs during the skits performed by our own troop and others. After the campfire, we returned to the campsite and got ready for bed.

The next day, we packed up our tents and gear and cleaned our campsite before heading to the flag ceremony, where awards were presented and our troop got third place in the Toxic Waste and Popsicle Stick Challenge. Although we were tired, the weekend was a great experience. The Fall Camporee gave us an opportunity to practice camping skills, work as a team, compete in activities, and create new memories together.
